Forty-something (though immature for my age, I'd say I look younger but that's such a cliche that I'm starting to think there are only 1 or 2 people who think they actually do look their age. and i'm really 48, just trying to cling to those 'under 45' searches, hey, dont judge me!) divorced (so that means i'm either damaged goods or pre-disastered) college professor (smart?) with a [sardonic, sarcastic] active sense of humor. Intelligent interesting women aren't knocking on my door, my friends are all married, and I don't have the kind of job where I meet women I'd be interested in dating (given that I have ethics and I'm not 20yo) so I'm here, not that there's anything wrong with that. I used to think I had a 'type' but now I think it is more like art and/or pornography, hard to define but you know it when you see it. Race isn't important to me in dating, but intelligence and humor are. I do tend to lean toward interesting/quirky/cute more than dont-get-my-hair-wet fashion plates though. I'm fairly laid back, but I do like to get out. I do like a good beer or three in a comfy pub and a good meal wherever they serve them (out or in). I love movies, live music, books, I'm up for the occasional play though a bad play is as painful as 7th grade poetry. Theater isnt good because it's theater any more than television is bad because it's television. I have a nicely stable career so I'd like to focus on something/someone else now. Okay, that seems twice more than enough, let's save something for that first awkward real life conversation. p.s. i have an ad and some pics, if you dont it's hardly a level playing field, so the most straightforward strategy is to simply not respond to messages from those individuals
