I'm a very loving, passionate & spiritual person who enjoys the basics in life. We don't always have to talk, I can enjoy sitting quietly by the lake just enjoying the company. I also love to have stimulating conversations on just about any subject. I'm originally from Brooklyn, NY., and have always hung out with friends from every culture. I Love them all. My family is from the Caribbean of various ethnicity. Depending on who you visit, you will hear French, Spanish, English, Créole, all in the same room. I love all cultural events, plays, dances, musicals, the opera, movies, etc. I'm also a lover of, and a student of nature, I like to study plants & their uses. I enjoy gardening, camping, birdwatching, flying kites - ok,I have not really done that since I was a kid, but I love kites :-). I love learning and experiencing new things. I have a natural inclination to understand how things work. I love good literature & historical fiction. However, most of my books consist of non-fiction self-improvement type books. I have a lot of books on spirituality, herbal remedies, health & nutrition. Depending on my mood, I listen to R&B, Soft Rock, Spirituals, Christian, Ballads (Country & Western), Jazz, Reggae, Calypso, Salsa, Latin music, Merengue, plus more. I also love poetry. I can't abide drama, gossip & temper tantrums. I am a true American & love the USA (yes, I hear music :-D), but I love to travel. I have traveled and lived in other parts of the world. So I can relate to many types of people and am comfortable in almost all settings. I'm open to communication and allowing things to progress naturally. Hopefully, a friendship, then who knows? I place a high value on true friendships and I'm very loyal in that regard. Friends are kindred spirits with whom you share a bond. Someone I can call a friend is someone I love dearly and would go a great distance for. __________________________ I look for Kindness - kindness goes a mighty long way with me. I do not have a desire or propensity to be mean, cruel or obnoxious to anyone, and I do not accept such treatment towards me. Intellect - If you are able to hold a conversation, discuss topics and subjects, have an opinion one way or another, then, that would be great. Open Mind - I am very spiritual. I incorporate various teachings of the east & west in my life. I am not religious per se, though I study different faiths. My dog tags read "Christian-Jew", but I am able to worship with almost any group. I do realize that everyone I love is not meant to be a life long partner. I welcome the opportunity to get to know one another, and allow things to progress naturally. In summary, I would say I want someone who can be my best friend, my lover and my confidant. Someone who would want to experience life with me and who would open himself and let me experience his world. Someone who will allow himself to be loved to the max. The person I would call, when I have great & exciting news or if I have sad or disappointing news. Someone who is willing to trust me with his inner being and whom I can trust with mine. Should I be fortunate enough to have such a blessing in my life, I would not take it for granted, and would surely cherish every moment together.
