<p>I'm just trying to have fun during this ride called life, and doing whatever I can to keep it interesting.<br /><br /> I'm generally a quiet, somewhat shy person, but I can be rather surprising at times. I love to keep folks guessing about me. Most never know what I'll do or say, and to me that's the ultimate superpower (although manipulating the elements, super-human strength,and mind control would be pretty awesome powers to have too).<br /><br /> I have never been married and have no children. I'm mostly a homebody, but I do like to go out and have fun whenever possible. When I'm not working, I love watching movies, listening to music , playing on the computer, going to parks, attending plays/concerts, or the occasional outing with friends. I don't do the club scene (not since the age of 25), mostly due to feeling that a person can't truly find what they are looking for in that environment.<br /><br /> I love sleeping in on rainy weekends, eating tempura-sushi,singing terribly in the shower, and just anything that's simply off beat. I'm serious when I need to be and a complete goof-bag when I want to be.<br /><br /> I'm really attracted to tall men with a light complexion, dark hair,and dark eyes (blue eyes are great too).<br /><br /><b>Major points will be awarded if you have an awesome accent</b><br /> (I have a thing for Brits and Aussies).<br /><br /> I am not snobby when it comes to someone's level of education, however if he's able to speak intelligently on various subjects, then everything should work out just fine.<br /><br /><b><i>Men who are overly sensitive, clingy, or simply stuck on stupid just don't do it for me.</i></b></p>
<p>I am good at giving an ear to someone's issues. I might not be able to always offer words of comfort, but just knowing you have someone who will really listen can be awesome by itself.</p>
<p>I like all kinds of movies and shows (no horror, please). I'm mostly into comedy and the occasional period drama, but every now and again I'll indulge in some hot mess reality show, but I can only do so in snippets.<br /><br /> I've recently got into watching Last Week Tonight, Comedy Bang! Bang!, Big Bang Theory,The Americans (huge Matthew Rhys fan), The Wire ,The Affair (huge Dominic West fan), Law & Order SVU, Masters of Sex, and pretty much any of the shows that are on Food Network/Cooking Channel (not really into those shows with Bobby Flay or Alex Guarnaschelli..they get on my nerves, lol).<br /><br /> I'm not much of a reader(shame on me), however I opt for magazines whenever I have the time (usually Essence).<br /><br /> I can listen to pretty much all genres of music, however now that I'm much older, I'm into smooth jazz and ol' school R&B.<br /><br /> To put it simply, I love food!! (What fluffy chick doesn't?)<br /> I even watch shows about it. I'll try something new at least once. I am really into Asian, Italian, and of course good ole Southern (soul food). I'm in a rediscovery phase (courtesy of my late Guyanese grandmother), so I've added Caribbean cuisine to the list.</p>
