I am from many things, but I am unique. I am me.
I am from Scenic Idaho.
From beautiful lakes and tall evergreens.
From nature with singing birds and animals running free.

I am Scotch-Irish and American Indian.
From wonderful, caring parents
From a small, close, loving, and happy family consisting of two parents and three children.

I am from home-cooked meals that I always appreciated even if I didn’t always like.

I am from music.
From drummers and percussionists.
From loud rock music blaring from my mother’s stereo.
I am from enjoying rather than competing in sports.
From soccer, basketball and baseball.
From spit-wad and water fights.

I am from humor.
From practical jokes, teasing, and a sign on the door that said “Certified nuthouse: enter at your own risk.”
I am from “treat others as you would like to be treated.”

But I am more than what I am from.
I am unique.
I am a drummer living to the beat that I create just for me.
I am simple yet complex.
I am multi-cultural.
I am Pow Wows, traveling, and multi-cultural celebrations and traditions.

I am Spiritual.
From Jesus Christ, and the Holy Trinity.
From Christianity but more. Much more.
I am Spiritual. Not religious, but spiritual.

I am anti-violence, anti-politics and anti-hate.
And semi anti-technology and television.
I am bare feet, the outdoors, and natural living.

I am Asian, Mexican, and South American food.
Fresh fruit and vegetables.
Fry bread and Indian tacos.
No potatoes please.

I am independence.
I am differences.
I am me.
The only me there ever will be.
