I know that most of you will not take the time to read this entire profile. But, to the few that do, thanks. It says a lot about you that you're willing to read what someone has to say about himself.
Seriously:
My name is D'Andre. Most people call either D, or Dre. I'm a musician. I have a few years of college under my belt. I'm still deciding what I want to do. In the meantime, I'm a composer. I am a trained pianist, but I spend most of my musical time composing electronic music. Something deep inside of me wants to pursue it as a career, but I know that making it in the music world is harder than climbing Mount Everest.
I have a great sense of humor. But I also find humor in some of the more bizarre, random parts of life. I love irony, and am the first person to point it out in any given situation.
I am always rooting for the underdog. The unloved, the disadvantaged, the discriminated against, those are the people I feel for, and those are the people I fight for.
I'm a raver. Straight up, and I'm damn proud of it. I can stomp like nobody's business, and the Dallas underground scene (Afterlife, etc.) is my favorite part of Dallas nightlife.
I do not believe in God. I realize that for many women this will be a dealbreaker, but I make no apologies. If I can accept your Christianity or other religion, and not base my perception of you on your religious beliefs, I think you should be able to do the same. Personally, religion is not important to me. My moral code is pretty simple: If what you are doing is hurting other people, then it's wrong.
I am spontaneous. Always doing something new. Something different. That's me. (Sounds like a commercial, I know) I love trying new things. And I really will try almost anything once. There's a huge world out there, and the best way to learn about it is to get out there and experience everything for yourself, or at least, make friends with someone else who has.
I listen to a lot of music, with an emphasis on rock, and more creative artists. I love the Beatles, the Fall of Troy, Coheed and Cambria, Silverstein, Green Day, Tool, Fall Out Boy, The Thirty Years War, Infected Mushroom, Basshunter, Kesha, Lady Gaga, Breaking Benjamin, The Black Eyed Peas, Gym Class Heroes, Cobra Starship, My Chemical Romance, The All-American Rejects, the Plain White T's, DJ Irene, Bullet for My Valentine, Death Cab for Cutie, Eminem, Fabolous, Nas, Jay-Z, The Killers, and a plethora of other artists. Music is the blood in my veins.
UPDATE: I just started listening to Taking Back Sunday's new album, and it is amazing. They've only gotten better. It's definitely a plus if any of you listen to them.
I love coffee. I used to work as a barista, so it kinda rubbed off, I guess.
I have a huge vocabulary, and (don't tell) an IQ of 140. Yes, I am technically a genius, but seriously, it's just a number. And don't worry, I don't talk over everyone's head. I hate for people to think that I'm smarter than they are, even if its true. It makes them scared of me, and I'm very friendly, so that's a no-no.
I believe in freedom of speech with all my heart.
That said, I curse like a sailor. But I know when to be polite
I was born in Mississippi, without a single ghetto or country bone in my body. I'm gonna move to California or Colorado in a couple of years, but ultimately I want to live overseas, i.e. London or Japan. If you put me and my parents and relatives in the same room, I would definitely be the odd one out. Half of the people who meet me think I went to Harvard or something because of the way I speak, or the fact that I seem to always know at least a little about any given subject that comes up. Am I bragging? Only a little :)
I have one tattoo, with plans for a few more, one of which will be very elaborate. Tattoos are a big deal to me. On a girl, there's nothing sexier. On me, they have to be very carefully thought out, and everyone means something important to me. I have both ears pierced.
Overall, I'm laid back, chill, easy to get along with, fun, loving, caring, well known for putting everyone else first and forgetting about myself. A bit random at times, but I think it's necessary, it keeps everyone on their toes. I'm charming when it's necessary, but most of the time I'm just a damn good time. I'm a lover, not a fighter, but when I have to fight I am ruthless. I'm not easy to piss off though, so don't sweat it. Just know that I'm not a pushover, by any means.
My ideal match is a woman with a terrific sense of humor, and a good head on her shoulders. I can't stand not being able to have a decent conversation with a woman, it's so irritating to have to do most of the talking. So, we should at least have similar tastes in say, music. She should be pretty (obviously), but I'm not TOO shallow, ha ha. I love short women. Don't know why. The shortest person I've dated was 4'11
