I am a very happy person, I constantly smile, laugh and joke and find a way to find humor in almost anything. To me, a woman's smile is her glory. Her smile should be able to bring you from the depths of hell to the highest place in the Heavens if need be.
I am in various hobbies and activities, but my main activity is reading. When I read it allows me to challenge my mind, I'm able to understand things beyond my current level of thinking. And, most importantly, it opens my heart and mind to other perspectives. Allowing me to grow beyond age and social class.
Another thing I love is animals, I currently own 3 dogs (pit-bull/border mix, black lab/chow mix, and Russell terrier). In addition to that I own 2 cats, one orange tabby and a brown/white alley cat. I have a huge heart for animals of any type and if I had to pick another career choice it would definitely be working with animals. I quote Henry Beston when I say
"We need another and a wiser and perhaps a more mystical concept of animals... In a world older and more complete than ours they move finished and complete, gifted with extensions of the senses we have lost or never attained, living by voices we shall never hear. They are not brethren, they are not underlings; they are other nations, caught with ourselves in the net of life and time, fellow prisoners of the splendour and travail of the earth."
As far as entertainment is concerned, I love to go anywhere that plays music. Jazz clubs, concerts, I am 100% in love with the Opera and Ballet. I also enjoy going to museums, specifically art. Art is an expression within itself, art is expression. If the entire world was without art I honestly believe we would be without a soul.
I also love trying out new and different types of foods. I am the first person to pick something on the menu I cannot pronounce. It's funny how something such as food can also open your mind to the beliefs and cultural settings of other places.
I also find myself partial to any type of research concerning the mind. I have always been very partial to exploring and understanding mental health illnesses and other aspects of the mind. To me it's a great way to expand my own wisdom and helps me to better understand others.
