Hello,
My name is Gideon Swift. I'm a photographer. I have a studio on one of the floors of my condo In N. Dallas.
I'm pretty laid back I guess. I've been accused of being an artsy fartsy type but I would like to think of myself as more multi-dimensional than that lol.
I am into the arts...quite a bit. I am also a secret nerd. I love physics, and the theology vs. science discussion. Stephen Hawking, Michio Kaku, Einsteinian theory and a bounty of other daunting thought experimentation ;) cool sh*t to ponder lol.
I guess I'm what some might call a spiritual person.
I love music. Good Music. All kinds of music.
I used to play/write rhythm guitar and sing in a touring, working band.
Still do a little for fun.
I like to write too.
As far as physical stuff goes, I used to be a Thai Fighter. lol no really. I also like the outdoors. Oh and I recently took up break dancing cuz i hate regular cardio. And I have some friends that are B-boyz.
I love food. I make a lot of Italian and Asian cuisine. Like Sushi and Zupa Tuscuna. I think ima chef lol.
I'm a stylish person. I like to stay fly! ;) I think self expression is very important but within the bounds of heterosexuality lol. At least for me.
I Grew up here in Dallas, California & New york.
I'm very much into culture, the world and trying new things.
I like to wax-intellectual, philosophical and poetic.
I speak a bit of Japanese but am always learning.
It's a level 7 language (not easy). I think I'll always be learning Japanese.

I've got an amazing family which I feel very blessed to have (no kids).
I'm very close to my grandmother and my brothers.
I have THE most awesome granny ever.
You'll often catch us at Thursday night Karaoke having some drinks, catching up and having a blast. She's everyone's grandmom. She might be the coolest person on the planet.
One of my brothers has a promising hip hop career (hip hop not rap).
I love good hip hop. I guess we're all a bit artsy...
Through out my life and travels, I have collected a dynamic and talented group of friends and associates for which i am very greatful.
My brothers and I had it a bit rough when we were growing up in Cali.
I've spent plenty of time in homeless/youth shelters, section 8 housing projects, cars, state parks and beaches.
Some people take the approach of 'Aw you poor deers'. lol Not at all! I'm soo glad we grew up the way we did because we wouldn't have the perspectives and instincts that we do now. Thank God! lol

I have recently obtained my non-profit business license! this is one thing I am very excited about because it was a dream of my father's.
I have founded the Golden Harvest Foundation. This is a foundation established in order to help kids that may not have had all the chances in the world (and that want to help themselves) find a better way through art or what ever drives them.
We are throughing our 1st event in November. It's going to be an art and fashion show at a venue uptown.

Politically I kinda fall in the middle. I know, I know, that sounds like a cop-out but it's just the way it is. some of my thoughts and opinions would be considered by most to be 'liberal' and some would be considered conservative.
I think at 28 I have a pretty good sense of self and well developed ideas and interests.
I am the kind of person that believes in stopping, looking around and taking the time to appreciate things. I believe that happiness is being greatful for what the universe/God has bestowed upon you...and a warm gun. lol j/k ;)
And satisfaction in work well done.
Like when you have a vision and you are able to manifest it into reality.
That is extremely satisfying.
I believe when you make people around you successful then it will eventually & ultimately contribute to your own success. IF you choose the right people and projects to invest your energy and time into.
I believe you can apply the same school of thought to relationships ;)
